Surya suffers from a rare condition that makes sunlight deadly to him, so he has spent his whole life living at night: studying, working and making friends after dark. His world is small, held together by his devoted mother and a quirky friend, until he meets Sanjana, a popular television anchor, and falls for her during their night-time meetings. Afraid of losing her, he hides his illness, and the more the relationship grows, the harder it becomes to explain why he can never see her by day. The film marked the directing debut of cinematographer Karthik Ghattamaneni, who also shot it, and its night-time visuals of the city were widely praised. Nikhil Siddharth, fresh off Karthikeya, earned good notices for a gentle, charming performance.
