Vivaan and Siya, a middle-class couple struggling with money, win a holiday to Fiji. On their anniversary a polite, mysterious host, Mr. Khan, invites them to take part in a live game show with a prize of 21 crore rupees. The rules seem simple: eight questions about their own lives, each to be answered truthfully, with a task to perform after every answer. The questions soon become intrusive, the tasks grow cruel and dangerous, and the couple realise that the game is connected to something from their past that they would rather forget. Table No. 21 is a tight psychological thriller shot in Fiji, with Paresh Rawal cast against his comic image. The film also carries a social message about ragging in Indian colleges.
