Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015)

The marriage of Tanu and Manu has fallen apart in London: she is bored and restless, he is exasperated, and after a spectacular fight she has him committed to an asylum and flies home to Kanpur. Back in India, Manu meets Kusum, known as Datto, a straight-talking Haryanvi student athlete who is the image of Tanu, and the two drift towards a wedding while Tanu, realising what she has lost, flirts with old flames and creates chaos. The sequel to the 2011 hit was an even bigger success and one of the top Hindi films of 2015. Kangana Ranaut's double role, especially her Haryanvi Datto, won her the National Film Award for Best Actress, and Deepak Dobriyal's Pappi became a fan favourite.
