Teen Deewarein (2003)

Chandrika, a young documentary filmmaker, gets permission to film three convicts awaiting execution, Jaggu, Ishaan and Naagya, each with his own account of himself and of the crime that brought him there. With the help of a liberal-minded jailer, she interviews them over weeks, and their stories begin to touch her own life in ways she did not expect. Nagesh Kukunoor's prison drama marked a shift from his earlier comedies such as Hyderabad Blues to darker material, and draws strong performances from Naseeruddin Shah and Jackie Shroff.
