Teri Meri Kahaani tells three love stories with Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra playing a different couple in each. In 1910 Punjab, during the freedom struggle, a flirtatious poet meets a spirited young woman. In 1960s Bombay a struggling music composer and a rising film star fall for each other amid the glamour of the film world. And in 2012 London two students meet, sparks fly and modern misunderstandings follow. The stories are told side by side, each styled after its period, from black-and-white-era Bollywood to college romance. Kunal Kohli, who made Hum Tum and Fanaa, directed the film, and the period songs by Sajid-Wajid were written to echo the music of each era.
