Thagaraaru (2013)

Thagaraaru is a 2013 Tamil crime action film directed by Ganesh Vinayak, starring Arulnithi with Poorna (Shamna Kasim) as the heroine and Jayaprakash in support. Arulnithi plays one of a group of friends who live by petty crime in a rough part of Chennai. A plan for a bigger heist, a rival gang and the hero's romance pull the story in several directions, with fights and dark humour along the way. Arulnithi, grandson of the late Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi, had begun building a career in grounded, offbeat thrillers. The Hindi dub is titled Ek Aur Balwan.
