Thangigagi (2006)

Thangigagi ("for the sister") is a Kannada action drama with Darshan as a village man whose life revolves around his younger sister. Determined to see her married into a good city family, he moves to Bangalore, where he discovers that the city's rowdies are a danger to everything he wants for her, and he decides to clean them out himself. The film is a remake of the Tamil hit Thirupaachi (2005), and it was directed by Sadhu Kokila, better known as a comedian and music composer. It suits fans of Darshan's mass-hero image and brother-sister sentiment.
