The Bride with Painted Skin (2016)

The Bride with Painted Skin is a 2016 Chinese fantasy horror film. Its title links it to Painted Skin, the classic tale by the Qing-dynasty writer Pu Songling about a demon who wears a beautiful woman's skin to deceive a man, which has been filmed many times. Like other versions of the story, it mixes ghostly romance, demons and martial-arts action. Little else about this particular production has been widely documented.
