Description

Johnny Jarvis is a boxer on the rise who sees his call-up papers as the worst possible luck, arriving just when a title fight is within reach. At the Great Lakes naval training station he resents the discipline and his fellow recruits, but friendship, a romance with a pretty nurse and the reality of the war gradually change his attitude. The Navy Way is a modest wartime morale-booster from the Pine-Thomas unit at Paramount, shot partly at the real Great Lakes Naval Training Center, and is a typical example of the patriotic programme pictures Hollywood made during the Second World War.
