Ha Chae-yoon is the best hostage negotiator in the Seoul police, but a failed rescue has left her ready to quit. Then she is called into an emergency: Min Tae-gu, an international arms dealer holed up in Bangkok, has kidnapped a Korean journalist and a police officer, and he refuses to talk to anyone but her. For the next few hours, with a countdown running, she must keep him talking through a video screen while working out what he really wants. As the negotiation goes on, it becomes clear that the crisis is tied to corruption at the top of her own world. The film is notable for pairing Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, who later starred together in the hit drama Crash Landing on You and married in real life.
