Description

An episode of The Twilight Zone, which Rod Serling created and largely wrote for CBS between 1959 and 1964. Serling had spent years fighting network sponsors over what live drama was allowed to say about race, politics and war, and found that the same arguments passed unchallenged if the characters were aliens or the setting was a town that did not exist. The result is the most imitated anthology series ever made, and the reason a half-hour of television can still be described as having a twist. Season 4, episode 11: "The Parallel".
