Thodarum (1999)

Thodarum ("it continues") was the directorial debut of actor Ramesh Khanna and one of several films in which Ajith Kumar was paired with Devayani in the late 1990s, a pairing audiences liked after Kadhal Kottai. The film is a domestic drama rather than an action film, following a young couple whose relationship is shaken by family pressures and misunderstanding. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music.
