Thodu Dongalu (1981)

Thodu Dongalu ("partner thieves") is a 1981 Telugu action film directed by K. Vasu, pairing the established star Krishna with Chiranjeevi, who was then still climbing from supporting and negative roles to stardom. As the title suggests, the two play a pair of rogues whose partnership is at the centre of the story, which mixes action, romance and songs in the manner of Telugu commercial cinema of the early 1980s. It is of interest today mainly as one of several films from that period in which Chiranjeevi appeared alongside Krishna, shortly before his breakthrough as a solo hero.
