Aman, a young Pakistani musician living in London, is in love with Asha, an Indian Punjabi girl, and the time has come to meet her family. Asha's household turns out to be a loud, opinionated collection of relatives, from a suspicious father and an emotional mother to a grandmother and a brother with surprises of their own, and Aman's nationality is only the beginning of his problems. Over a single disastrous visit, one mishap leads to another as he tries desperately to make a good impression. Total Siyapaa ("total mess") is a light culture-clash comedy written and produced by Neeraj Pandey, best known for thrillers such as A Wednesday. Pakistani star Ali Zafar plays the lead, and the comedy plays on India-Pakistan stereotypes with affection rather than hostility.
