Umar (2006)

Umar ("Age") follows a group of elderly Indians who have moved to London to live with their grown-up children, only to find themselves treated as a burden in homes where they expected respect. Lonely and slighted, the old men band together and find a way to stand on their own feet, while younger characters played by Jimmy Shergill and Shenaz Treasurywala are drawn into their story. Kader Khan, better known for comedy, takes one of the central roles. The film belongs to the family dramas of the period about the neglect of the elderly, with London as its backdrop.
