Jeeva is a once-successful novelist whose popularity has faded and who cannot get his next book going. He leaves his wife behind in the city and goes to a quiet hill station, hoping that solitude will bring back his inspiration. As he starts writing a horror-thriller, strange things begin to happen in the remote place, and the line between his story and his reality blurs. His wife, worried when he stops answering, sets out to find him. Uru is a compact psychological thriller with horror elements, set mostly in the misty hill country. Kalaiyarasan, known for Madras, plays the writer, with Sai Dhanshika as his wife.
