Vaa Vaathiyaar (2025)

Vaa Vaathiyaar is a Tamil action comedy directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the film-maker behind the cult dark comedy Soodhu Kavvum. Karthi plays the lead opposite Krithi Shetty, with Sathyaraj in a major role. The title borrows the affectionate name "Vaathiyaar" (teacher) by which fans called MGR, and the film plays with that legacy with a hero whose life is bound up with the cult of the star. It mixes action, satire and comedy. Santhosh Narayanan, a long-time collaborator of the director, composed the music.
