Pallavi and her friends Zareena and Divya, three working women sharing a flat in Hyderabad, go to a party with a group of young men one night, and Pallavi ends up being charged with attempted murder after defending herself from the son of an influential politician. With the system stacked against them, they find an unlikely champion in Satyadev, a once-feared lawyer who has stepped away from the courtroom after a personal tragedy. Vakeel Saab is the Telugu remake of the Hindi courtroom drama Pink (2016), reworked for Pawan Kalyan with a stronger heroic arc, a back-story and action scenes, while keeping its central message about consent. It was Pawan Kalyan's return to films after a three-year break for politics, and it was co-produced by Boney Kapoor, who also made the Tamil remake Nerkonda Paarvai. S. Thaman's music includes the hit "Maguva Maguva".
