A young man arrives in Chennai from his hometown to start a job; a young woman flies in from London to make a documentary. A crafty broker rents the same apartment to both of them, and by the time they find out, neither is willing to give it up. Forced to live as reluctant flatmates, they bicker, slowly become friends and then more, while each has a partner waiting elsewhere. It is a light romantic comedy built around Chennai, with Santhanam supplying much of the comedy and Anirudh Ravichander's songs adding to the fun. It was the debut film of director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, and was produced by her husband Udhayanidhi Stalin.
