Varadhanayaka (2013)

Varadhanayaka is a Kannada action drama about a family torn apart when it crosses a powerful criminal gang. Sudeep leads the cast in a commanding role, with Chiranjeevi Sarja as the younger hero who must step up when the family is hit, and Sameera Reddy as the romantic lead. The film follows the familiar mass template of comedy and romance giving way to revenge, and leans heavily on Sudeep's star presence and screen fights. It was directed by Ayyappa P. Sharma, brother of Arjun Sarja and uncle of Chiranjeevi Sarja, so the film is something of a family project.
