Voter (2019)

Vishnu Manchu plays an educated young man who comes back to Andhra Pradesh and grows angry at the way politicians forget their promises the moment the votes are counted. His campaign to make a sitting leader accountable sets him against an entrenched politician played by Sampath Raj, and the fight moves from speeches and public pressure to threats and fists. Surabhi plays the woman he falls for along the way. Voter is a straightforward Telugu political action drama built around the idea of the ordinary voter's power, mixing a message about democracy with the songs, comedy and fights expected of a commercial hero film.
