Waarrior Savitri updates the ancient tale of Savitri and Satyavan, in which a devoted wife follows the god of death to win back her husband's life. Here Savitri is a confident, martial-arts-trained young woman in present-day India who falls for Satya, despite a prediction that he is destined to die young. When fate and a set of very human villains close in on him, she refuses to accept what has been written and takes on both. Niharica Raizada plays the title role, with Rajat Barmecha, known from Udaan, as Satya, and veteran Om Puri in support. The film mixes mythology, romance, action and comedy, and was directed by Param Gill.
