Aditya and Anushka have been best friends since childhood and assume that is all they are. When Aditya gets engaged and the families gather for a grand wedding abroad, Anushka arrives to join the celebrations, and the days of sangeet, games and family drama force both of them to face feelings they have avoided for years. Meanwhile the bride and the groom's family have their own plans. The film is a breezy romantic comedy in the tradition of big-wedding Hindi films, with Rishi Kapoor in a supporting role. It marked the directorial debut of Binod Pradhan, the cinematographer of 1942: A Love Story, Devdas and Rang De Basanti, and the screen debut of Anushka Ranjan; Kannada actor Diganth made his Hindi debut as Aditya.
