An episode of an Arabic television drama, from a collection of them uploaded by one hand across several Ramadan seasons. The musalsal is the dominant form of Arabic television: a serial of about thirty episodes, one broadcast each night of Ramadan, written and shot for that month and watched by audiences across the Arab world at the same hour. Production is concentrated in Egypt, Syria and the Gulf, and a season's serials are discussed the way a league table is. This is episode 16. The series is named only by an abbreviation of its Arabic title — "wes-albl" — cut down to a few consonants, and that abbreviation is deliberately not expanded here. Guessing an Arabic title from a consonant skeleton would be inventing it.
