Vasu is an aimless young man who keeps disappointing his father. When he sees Keerthi, a confident software professional, he is instantly smitten, and talks his way into a job at her company just to be near her. She turns him down, and soon he learns that her marriage has already been arranged. Undeterred, he finds himself visiting her large joint family in the village, where he wins over relatives one by one while trying to hide his feelings. Yaaradi Nee Mohini is a Tamil remake of the Telugu hit Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule (2007), and was a success for Dhanush in a lighter, romantic role.
