Raj grows up with his mother, away from his father, knowing that his father is a wealthy Mumbai businessman who never accepted him. Determined to win his place, he travels to the city and wangles his way into his father's life and home, without revealing who he really is. Along the way he falls for a lively young woman and runs into all kinds of comic trouble before the family truth comes out. Yeh Hai Jalwa is a David Dhawan comedy-drama mixing slapstick with a father-son emotional core. It pairs Salman Khan with Rishi Kapoor and Ameesha Patel, and has music by Himesh Reshammiya, in his early years as a film composer.
