Yevade Subramanyam (2015)

Subramanyam, or Subbu, is ambitious and practical, focused on climbing the corporate ladder and marrying his boss's daughter. His old friend Rishi is his opposite, a free spirit who always dreamed of trekking to a sacred spot in the Himalayas known as Dudh Kasi. When circumstances leave Subbu responsible for fulfilling that dream, he reluctantly sets off for Nepal with Anandi, a young woman with her own reasons for going, and the trek begins to change what he wants from life. Yevade Subramanyam ("who is Subramanyam?") was the debut of Nag Ashwin, later the director of Mahanati and Kalki 2898 AD, and an early major role for Vijay Deverakonda. It was shot on location in the Everest region of Nepal.
