Nanubhai Desai

Producer; Sharda Pictures and Saroj Movietone

The trade credit block for this film in August 1941 lists him as Production Chief, and the photograph of Mehboob Khan's preview party on the same page names him in its caption: 'Mr. Nanubhai Desai (Production Chief)'. So the initials belong to Nanubhai Desai, who co-founded Sharda Pictures with Bhogilal Dave and afterwards ran Saroj Movietone. His daughter is the actress Bindu. He is in neither database as a credit on this film, and the film's own title cards do not carry him either - he exists on this page because a magazine photographed him standing next to the director a fortnight after the premiere.
