Description
K100 is Reykjavik's feelgood pop station on 100.5 FM, operated by Arvakur, the company behind the mbl.is news site. Everything on air is in Icelandic, from the weekday wake-up show Island vaknar to Thor Baering's afternoon run and the Sunday shows, so this is a presenter-led local station rather than an unattended jukebox of English-language hits. The playlist leans on chart pop and familiar hits from the 1990s onward, and the station keeps a standing slot for brand new Icelandic releases that artists can submit to it directly. Between songs the talk is light: games, listener challenges and international pop and television gossip.

A "Sendu inn lag" (Send in a song) route in the station's own action bar on every page, opening a submission form that takes the track and its writer, an email address, a required audio upload of 1 to 256 MB as wav, mp3 or aac, and optional ISRC, publisher, album, genre and notes, and the Icelandic-music section repeats it as a "Sendu okkur þitt lag" (Send us your song) button; a "Hafðu samband" (Get in touch) link in the same bar opening a mailbox on the station's own k100.is domain rather than the newspaper's; a telephone line in that bar labelled "Útsending" (Broadcast), which is the on-air line as distinct from the advertising one beside it; a "Leikir" competitions section with an entry form taking name, email, telephone and postcode; and the station's own Facebook page and Instagram account in the header's social list. The brief's caution about the newspaper subdomain is well placed and the separation is visible in the markup itself, as the header social list carries K100's accounts while the footer strip carries the newspaper's. The site is a client-routed app: /sendu-lag/, /um/ and a nonsense control all return the same 9759-byte shell, so all of this came from the k100_new JS bundle.

What we found and did not publish
Material that would have made this page fuller, and was refused. A page with five named presenters looks better than a page with none even when the five are a website theme's demonstration content, and the difference is invisible to a reader. So it is recorded here instead.
