Description
NORA Oldies is one of the web channels in the NORA family, a brand of Regiocast based in Kiel on Germany's Baltic coast. NORA started life as Nord-Ostsee-Radio on FM across Schleswig-Holstein and now lives on entirely as a set of online streams, of which this is the sixties and seventies one. The playlist is exactly what the name promises, the big hits of those two decades picked band by band rather than thrown together, so the Beatles sit next to the Eagles and Smokie next to Abba. There are no presenters, no bulletins and no chat, which makes it easy company for a long afternoon. Sister streams cover the eighties, a party version of the same oldies and a Christmas channel, and a Was lief wann page lets you look up whatever you just missed.

Contact route
a German Impressum, legally required to carry a contact route and here the only page that does, giving the operator's postal address, a telephone, a fax and an email, plus a data-protection officer's own address and email; the site also links its own Facebook page; this route is the operator's and is shared across the NORA webstreams

Worth knowing
The FM station this grew out of no longer exists. Radio NORA left the air on 1 May 2016, and what survived was the brand and the oldies, now run as a web channel by the broadcaster REGIOCAST out of Kiel. The name dropped the word radio along the way.

What we corrected

Each of these changed a field in our own entry. The reasoning is the researcher's own, recorded when the change was made.

FieldChange Why
title NORA Oldies
what it said before was not recorded; the reasoning usually states it
The ALL-CAPS is stream-tag styling, and the station itself dropped the word Radio: the FM service Radio NORA ended on 1 May 2016 and the surviving brand on its own site is NORA. That site calls this channel NORA Oldies (given in full as NORA Oldies 60er und 70er). NORA Oldies is what the operator itself uses.
country code DE
what it said before was not recorded; the reasoning usually states it
Established, not guessed. This is the NORA Oldies web channel, one of the NORA streams at norawebstreams.de, a brand of REGIOCAST GmbH und Co. KG. The Impressum on that site gives Wittland 3, 24109 Kiel, Germany, Amtsgericht Kiel HRA 3679, and names the Medienanstalt Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein as supervisory authority. NORA stands for Nord-Ostsee-Radio and originally broadcast on FM across Schleswig-Holstein. Nothing connects the station to Afghanistan, and no other oldies station of this name was found anywhere else.
homepage url https://www.norawebstreams.de/
what it said before was not recorded; the reasoning usually states it
Fetched and confirmed to load: NORA's own brand site, describing itself as a brand of REGIOCAST GmbH und Co. KG, listing every NORA channel with its own description (NORA Webstream, NORA Oldies for the 1960s and 1970s, NORA 80er, NORA Oldie Party, NORA Weihnachten), a Was lief wann playlist lookup and a full Impressum. It is not a directory or a hosting panel. The old radio-nora.de no longer resolves.
language code de
what it said before was not recorded; the reasoning usually states it
The NORA Webstreams site is entirely in German, the operator Regiocast is German and based in Kiel, and the channel descriptions (Die groessten Hits der 60er und 70er) are German. German is ISO 639-1 de.

If you think something here is wrong

Tell us which fact and what you found instead. Everything above names its source and its date, so a disagreement can be settled by looking rather than argued. Where another site disagrees with us, it is usually because it is repeating a radio directory, and occasionally because we got it wrong. We would like to know which.

Read from the station's own material; this page is generated from the catalogue as it stands now, so it changes when the research does. Research current as at 2026.
