Dream Girl (1977)

Sapna is a beautiful, quick-witted young woman who appears under different identities in different places, a dancer here, a demure girl there, and nobody seems to know the truth about her. Anand, a wealthy young man, falls for her and becomes determined to unravel her secret, which turns out to be rooted in her past. Ashok Kumar adds warmth in a key role. Dream Girl was built entirely around Hema Malini, who plays multiple guises, and the film's title became her lifelong nickname. Kishore Kumar's title song, "Dream Girl, Kisi Shayar Ki Ghazal", is one of the most famous songs of the 1970s.
