Rajnigandha (1974)

Vidya Sinha leads, with Amol Palekar and Dinesh Thakur; Basu Chatterjee directed, adapting Mannu Bhandari's story "Yehi Sach Hai". Salil Chowdhury's "Rajnigandha Phool Tumhare" comes from it. It won the Filmfare Critics award and is the film that opened the way for the middle cinema of the decade.
