Aravind was raised to believe in rules and honesty, and he refuses to pay bribes or tolerate small corruptions, which earns him nothing but trouble. After a clash with the police, he devises an audacious plan to show how rotten the system is: he uses bribes and forged papers to create an entirely fictitious person with every official document, then reveals what he has done. The stunt makes him a public hero but also creates powerful enemies. Nani plays a dual role, with Amala Paul as the heroine and Sarathkumar as a police officer. Director Samuthirakani made the film simultaneously in Tamil as Nimirndhu Nil (2014) with Jayam Ravi, and G. V. Prakash Kumar composed the music.
