Ranam (2006)

Ranam ("battle") is a Telugu action film starring Gopichand as a bold young man who clashes with a dreaded gangster, played by the Malayalam actor Biju Menon, over a woman both of them want. Kamna Jethmalani plays the heroine. It was the debut of choreographer Amma Rajasekhar as a director, and its brisk action and Mani Sharma's music made it a commercial success that strengthened Gopichand's place as an action hero after he had first become known as a villain.
