Gautam Govinda (1979)

Gautam Govinda is a 1979 Hindi action drama, one of the first films directed by Subhash Ghai, who would go on to make Karz, Hero and Ram Lakhan. It stars Shashi Kapoor and Shatrughan Sinha, a popular pairing of the period, with Moushumi Chatterjee, and the music is by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, Ghai's long-time composers. It is a multi-star entertainer in the mould of late-1970s Hindi cinema. It is an interesting early look at the showman's style before his big hits.
