Baghban (2003)

Raj and Pooja Malhotra have spent their lives putting their four sons first. When Raj retires, they decide to spend their remaining years living with their children, only to find that none of the sons wants the burden of both parents. The sons split them up, each taking one parent for six months, and the couple who have never lived apart must endure their separation and the slights of the next generation. Only Alok, the adopted son they raised as their own, remembers what they gave him. Baghban was a major hit, reuniting Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini as a screen couple for a new generation, and it struck a deep chord with older viewers across India. Songs such as "Holi Khele Raghuveera" and "Main Yahan Tu Wahan" remain popular.
