Nai Duniya Naye Log (1973)

Nai Duniya Naye Log ("new world, new people") is a 1973 Hindi social drama directed by B. R. Ishara, a filmmaker known in the early 1970s for bold, low-budget films about modern relationships. Reena Roy, who had been launched by Ishara in Zaroorat, plays the lead with Danny Denzongpa, then at the start of his career. The film deals with young people trying to break away from old norms, with family conflict, romance and the price of independence at its centre. It is an early showcase for two actors who went on to long careers.
