Pyar Ka Sapna (1969)

Pyar Ka Sapna ("a dream of love") is a 1969 Hindi drama directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, the film-maker behind Anari, Anand and Guddi, with Ashok Kumar, Mala Sinha and Biswajeet in the lead and Helen in the cast. It is one of Mukherjee's lesser-known films, made in the same years as Satyakam and Aashirwad, and it carries his interest in middle-class lives, family ties and the quieter emotions between people. Ashok Kumar, a frequent collaborator, anchors the film, and the songs are by Chitragupta.
