Kachche Dhaage (1973)

Kachche Dhaage ("fragile threads") is a 1973 dacoit drama directed by Raj Khosla, who had already made the genre classic Mera Gaon Mera Desh with Vinod Khanna. Set among the bandits of the ravines, it tells a story of feuds, honour and loyalties that prove as fragile as the title suggests, with Vinod Khanna, Moushumi Chatterjee and a young Kabir Bedi, in one of his early Hindi film roles, in the lead. It is a good example of the dacoit films that were popular in Hindi cinema in the years just before Sholay.
