HIT: The First Case (2020)

Vikram Rudraraju is a gifted officer of Hyderabad's Homicide Intervention Team, but he is haunted by a childhood trauma that triggers panic attacks, and his doctors want him off the job. When a teenage girl, Preethi, vanishes from a highway, Vikram is pulled back into work, and the case grows personal when his colleague and girlfriend Neha also disappears. Sifting through suspects, forensic clues and his own unreliable nerves, he follows a trail that keeps changing shape. HIT: The First Case is a lean, twist-driven Telugu police procedural that marked Sailesh Kolanu's debut as a director. Its success launched the HIT universe: the director remade it in Hindi with Rajkummar Rao in 2022, and it was followed by HIT: The Second Case and HIT: The Third Case.
