Five Rifles (1974)

Five Rifles is a 1974 Hindi action film written and directed by I. S. Johar, the irreverent writer, actor and filmmaker behind Johar Mehmood in Goa. Johar appears in it himself, with Rakesh Khanna and his daughter Ambika Johar in the lead roles. It plays with the action and adventure conventions of the period, mixing gunfights and heroics with the tongue-in-cheek humour that was Johar's trademark. A curiosity for fans of 1970s action cinema and of Johar's offbeat style.
