Janam Janam Ke Phere (1957)

Janam Janam Ke Phere ("rounds of many births") is a 1957 Hindi film starring Nirupa Roy, then a leading lady of mythological and social films, and Manhar Desai. It is best remembered for S. N. Tripathi's music, and above all for "Zara Saamne To Aao Chhaliye", the duet by Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar that became one of the most popular Hindi film songs of the year and remains a radio favourite. The film itself is a gentle, song-led drama in the style of 1950s Hindi cinema.
