Karan is a reckless young street racer with no family and nothing to lose. Saba Karim Shah, a wealthy, terminally ill businessman living abroad, sees in him a reflection of the son he lost and makes him his successor, the janasheen of the title, but his kindness comes with a mission: to settle a score with the men responsible for his son's death. Along the way Karan falls in love, and has to decide what he owes the man who saved him. Feroz Khan, famous for stylish productions such as Qurbani and Dharmatma, directed, produced and starred in the film, his last as a director, opposite his son Fardeen. Shot largely in South Africa, it marked the screen debut of former Miss India Celina Jaitly.
