Kagaz Ki Naao (1975)

Kagaz Ki Naao ("paper boat") is a 1975 Hindi drama directed by B. R. Ishara, the film-maker known for bold, low-budget social films such as Chetna and Charitra. It marked the screen debut of Raj Kiran, who went on to play leads and second leads through the late 1970s and 1980s, opposite a teenage Sarika, who had been a child star. Pradeep Kumar, Helen, Aruna Irani and Johnny Walker are in the supporting cast. The story deals with young love and the pressures of family and society on a couple, as fragile as the paper boat of the title.
