Kathanam (2019)

Anu wants to become a director and spends her days narrating her script to producers, a crime story in which a series of people are murdered. Then the killings in her story begin to happen in real life, one by one, in the way she imagined them, and the police start looking at her with suspicion. She has to find out who is turning her fiction into fact, and why. Anasuya Bharadwaj, the television presenter turned actress, plays the lead in this suspense thriller, with Srinivas Avasarala and Vennela Kishore in supporting roles. The film's hook is the blurring of the line between a story being told and the crime being investigated.
