Kottai Mariamman (2001)

Kottai Mariamman is a Tamil devotional film from Rama Narayanan, the director best known for goddess films packed with miracles, special effects and songs. Roja, Devayani and Karan lead a story in which the goddess Mariamman protects a devoted family when a sorcerer and greedy villains try to destroy them. The film follows the formula that made Amman films hugely popular with family audiences around the turn of the millennium, ending in a big showdown between divine power and black magic.
