Lakshmi Narasimha (2004)

Lakshmi Narasimha is a police officer who does not mind taking a bribe or bending a rule, which makes the local don Dharma think he has found another officer he can buy. But the cop has his own sense of justice, and once he sees the full extent of Dharma's cruelty, he turns on him, setting off a battle in which both men use every weapon they have. The film is the Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Saamy (2003), which starred Vikram, and Balakrishna brings his own forceful style to the role, with Asin as the heroine and Prakash Raj as the villain. Mani Sharma composed the music, and the film was a success at Sankranti 2004.
