Milap (1972)

Milap ("union") is a 1972 Hindi drama directed by B. R. Ishara, a prolific filmmaker known for low-budget, bold-for-their-time social films. It comes from the very start of the careers of all three leads: Shatrughan Sinha, who would soon become a star with his trademark dialogue delivery, Reena Roy, who began her career in Ishara's films, and Danny Denzongpa, then a newcomer. The film is little remembered today, but it offers a glimpse of three performers who would go on to dominate Hindi cinema later in the decade.
