Sazaa (1951)

Sazaa ("punishment") is a 1951 Hindi romantic drama directed by Fali Mistry, better known as one of Indian cinema's great cinematographers. Dev Anand, in his early romantic-hero years, plays a young man whose love involves two women, played by Nimmi and Shyama, and the film follows the jealousy, sacrifice and suffering that come from that triangle. S. D. Burman composed the music, and the songs, among them the Lata Mangeshkar number "Tum na jaane kis jahan mein kho gaye", are the film's most lasting legacy.
