Scott Murphy was the star quarterback of his small-town Ohio high school team until a devastating leg injury in the 1991 state championship ended his dreams of a football scholarship. Years later, with the farm failing, money running out and a family he feels he has let down, he reaches a moment of despair and wakes up back in 1991, a few days before the big game. Now he must decide whether to change his past or to look again at what he already has. Touchback is a sentimental sports fantasy with Kurt Russell as his old coach and Melanie Lynskey as his wife, written and directed by Don Handfield and filmed in Ohio.
